Life shows No Splendor

by Jodie   Jul 1, 2007

Life shows no splendor
No reasons why
And Im not particularly interested
In this so called splendid life

I have lived through enough
To dare say
-that it doesnt get better
The flare simply dies in shame.

The people do change
And I ask who are you?
These undetectable shadows of friends,
Those I once I so clearly knew.

And then I ask myself
Who am I?
I dont think Ive changed so much
Since those days that flickered by.

But please give me
A show so clear
So I can understand the concept of
Of my now mislaid peers

And
Window. Window.
In the hall
Who is the skinniest of them all?

Jealous. In angst they all pray,
For none of them are striking in their ugly states.

So
Mirror. Mirror.
Please tell me.
When Ill get my friends back,
When theyll return to those they used to be.
