Stand By Me

by Jenni Marie   Jul 2, 2007

It's true I sometimes do crazy things
There's times when you don't know how to deal
But I wanna take this opportunity to say
These feelings I have for you are real

I'm not the easiest person to get along with
I'm the first to admit that's true
But what I;I'm also admitting now
Is you're the one I most value

I'm not always easy to understand
Sometimes you don't know where to turn
Things I may blurt out in temper
I know they often hurt and burn

It's just that I've been hurt so often
I'm not always sure which way to go
So I hide myself behind sarcasm
Trying to ensure I wont hurt no more

But please just bare with me
Eventually I'll let you in
It's just I find it hard to share
All the pain that I feel within

Just give me a little more time
You really do hold my heart's key
It's your's to have and keep forever
If you promise that you'll stand by me
