Child at play

by oddi tea   Jul 2, 2007

Down by the river
Where the purple flowers grow
I sat silently
And watched the river flow

"Little fish, in the sea
Talk, sing, communicate with me!"
Sang a little girl
Sitting opposite me

She smiled across
And I just knew
If she put her mind to it
She would be one of the few

She could fly
Or morph at will
She was a perfect
Fiery thrill

She was Christ
In every way
Just as pure
A child at play
