So Near, Yet So Farfetch'd

So Near, Yet So Farfetch'd

Ha, don't let blood soak your tears,
Pull yourself together,
Believe me you'll be waiting years.

Powder and a little residue.
Oh, only the slightest bit,
Cities scream out for you.

But, yeah, you make me sick.
Yeah, you make me sick.

Don't back out now,
(You've come way too far.)
Get out of this town.
(We went way too far.)

If only gravity was this real.

If only I could still feel.

We were five,
Santa was still alive,
We played kiss chase
with the innocence of the sun.

And for a little fun,
You drew me a heart on an etch a sketch.

I've still got it here,
It's so near yet so farfetched.
