The Depth of my Heart

by KeyxMashingxParody   Jul 2, 2007

Coming clean in a sense of fate,
Corruption echos in my heart.
Dying slowly of heart break,
Crying no longer heals wounds.

Falling from the depth of our own hatred,
We call out for others to help.
Ones whom we do not know,
How can we be so selfish.

Acting upon our own feelings,
Never giving another a stare.
Ripping out our own hearts,
We're only hurting ourselves.

To have fidelity, honestly,
It is only a dream.
Lost in a memoir,
Bore from my own hands.

Can this be real, this pain!?
To be true is only to lie.
To lie to myself, my soul, my heart...
How can I be so vain!?
So heartless!?

It is destiny!
Destiny that has surrounded my soul.
We're all lost in ego,
Not even knowing it, we fall.

Forming a human disease,
We spread! Spread and take innocent lives!
Our lies, our callings, are all faded,
Gone, erased from our hearts...

Coming clean in a sense of fate,
Corruption echos in my heart.
Dying slowly of heart break,
Crying no longer heals wounds.

(This is one of my fave poems I have written. It does not rhyme, but the emotion I had when I wrote this (about a month ago) Was so mixed, so many thoughts going through my head, I just felt like, I should post it. I've been battling whether I should or not, Because it is hard to understand. So many emotions in one piece can get confusing, but I hope the message is clear, Thank you if you read!)

ps: This was before the Blasphemy of my Heart, just letting you know.

Extremely superb. The freeverse poetic form is best used in this piece. Well expressed and well penned. Its really awesome dear. You owe 5/5 from me.

How endearing. The way you've written this, by way of expressing one's feelings/thoughts within your words, was rather enchanting. Indeed, there are volumes of interpretations in between the lines, notably self-delusionment concerning matters of the heart and etc. I find it rather emotive and dreary, though.

A lovely piece, nonetheless. Thanks for sharing! ~Marian
