My Mistakes

When I lost you I was on my own
I made mistakes I knew I'd regret
I didn't think you actually meant it
When you said you'd never forget

Although were back together
My mistakes still haunt me everday
And if I could I'd change the past
To make all the hurt go away

Even though I do regret it
Part of me is glad
Because if I had never lost you
I may not have realized what I had

Through all my pain and confusion
It became so clear to me
You are the one I want for life
You are who makes me happy

So if your mind ever has doubts
Because of the past when I left
