The Unforgiven One

by Last Reality   Jul 2, 2007

Standing high above the innocents.
Unforgiven he is dubbed.
Crimes of his past.
Drives him to his grave.
As the ground approaches.
He remains silent.
In his eyes, He sees his crimes behind him.
They cannot terrify him any longer.
Onlookers cover their eyes.
A mangled crimson-soaked car is all that remains.
The deed has been done.

...Wow...that has some excellent imagery and really nice way with words. Love the first line. It really captures attention and the rest delivers maintaining that attention. Cool write. Has a dark undercurrent as well as a sad one. Short yet powerful. And the imagery is effective...kinda like quick glimpses of the whole picture.
