Small Pain Hurts So Bad

Now I'm planted on he edge
Watching my feet dangle below
My heart shifts closer and closer
To a place it already knows

I know this pain is small
Though It's going to leave a bruise
Hopefully it will fade
Like the others I've had to lose

Pain will only assist me
As aches will feed my strength
But for now I'm too exhausted
To find my soul's potential length

How can I hurt
And they just won't understand?
It's all too confusing
So hard to comprehend.
