Different

by UnwrittenTragedy   Jul 3, 2007

My world is badly broken
And the glue wont seem to hold
My heart is forever shattered
Because I didn't fit the mold

I'm not a perfect figure
With a tan to make you proud
My hair wont follow directions
And I'm easily lost in a crowd

My nails are painted black as night
As is the color round my eyes
My heart has grown cold and dark
And it's shadowed by hundreds of lies

I don't smile for all of my pictures
I don't scream at the sight of rain
I didn't run from silly insects
And I'm not afraid of pain

Sometimes I wonder if my hair was Blonde
And I was pretty like all of the rest
You might notice more than a shadow
You might see me as one of the best

So even though I'm different
Some might even say strange
I'll NEVER let you tell me
That I ever need to change
