Life after death

by purplemadness   Jul 3, 2007

And so she asked; Mommy, are angels real?
Do they feel the way we feel?
Can they go through a brick wall?
Do they hear me whenever i call?
Can they go through a closed door?
I think I have seen them before.
A kiss to heaven is what I did sent,
Because that's the place daddy went.

And mommy looked at her and sighed,
And then she turned her head because she felt a tear in her eyes.
1 year ago, exactly on this day,
Her husband was brutally ripped away.
Tears in her eyes and silent cries at night,
After her love had lost the fight.

And as she was crying in her bed,
Her daughter walked in and said; Mommy don't be sad.
I know it's daddy you miss,
But every night he gives me a goodnight kiss.
He says that he waits for us way up above,
And that every night he sends us his love.

The mother told her daughter that those things weren't real,
But then she noticed something, she could truly feel.
Something or someone was here and she got afraid,
She looked at the door and there he stood, the man for whom she prayed.
It was her husband, he said: although I'm not here with you,
I will watch over you, this much is true.

She said: I never believed in angels but now I do
But all I want is to be close to you.
As she said this she loudly cried.
He said: don't worry love; you will see me every night.
My body is gone but my soul isn't dead,
And he bent over and kissed her on her head.

And as his image softly faded away,
She knew that he couldn't stay.
And as his voice faded in the night
That was the last time that she cried.
And every night he visited his daughter and wife,
Yeah, his body was dead but he was so alive.

But one night he did not come back,
That's when his wife died of a heart attack.
And so she went to stay at his side,
And they were together every day and every night.
