Tornado's

by Tracy D Rollings   Jul 3, 2007

I saw a dark cloud, in the sky
the discolor figure, didn't ask why
was getting dark, the sound grew near
ran for cover, heart full of fear.

The noise was loud, as it got close
as I shut the door, my car hit a post
lying there waiting, for the end
it came before, it's back again .

Devastation, was all we could see
of a little town, that use to be
house's were all gone, some friends too
never know ,when it will happen to you.

Total destruction, for miles to see
I drop to my knees, asking why me
so many family , they get torn apart
few never found and it breaks my heart.

This last for a lifetime, you never forget
some say you will, but I haven't yet
hell of a price, we all have to pay
when mother nature, decides she wants to play.

She takes out her too anger and fiery too
throws it to the ground, at me and you
building they crumble, trees are blown away
tornado's are killers, they happen everyday.©2007 Tracydr42

Never had to expierance one so from this poem i count myself very lucky. I like this poem it reminds me that we should never underestimate mother nature. She can create such beautiful things but take them away too if she feel like it. Fab poem.
    Take care

If anything scares me it's a tornado. Though we very rarely see one where I live it always makes me feel uneasy when I see a big storm brewing.

She takes out her too anger and fiery too
throws it to the ground, at me and you
building they crumble, trees are blown away
tornado's are killers, they happen everyday.
