Why do they try to make us grow up so fast?
Why do they put so much pressure on us to do well in life?
Why do they always stick their nose in your business?
Why do they always worry too much?
Why do they expect us to do as were told?
Why do they tell us not to make their mistakes?
You think they would realise,
We don't want to be told to grow up
We already know what's important in life
We don't always need their help
We aren't stupid, we'll always be okay
We just want to be asked
We need to make our own mistakes
And we have to be what we want to be,
Not what they want us to be.
