Fallen angel

by xxSilentlyScreamingxx   Jul 3, 2007

My fallen angel.
Came down from heaven to watch over me
While I sleep.
But as you guard, as you protect,
The silent tears fall, oh so fast.
Down your cheeks to hit the floor,
Silently weeping, my angel is.
Drowning in her own sorrow.
Such a pitiful sight to behold,
Don't cry my angel,
For there will be no reprieves this time,
No matter how hard you try.
'Fallen' isn't strong enough a word to use for you,
'Plummeted' works so much better,
As shrieking and screaming you came to me,
To watch me as I dream.
Do not weep my angel,
For soon I will send you on your way,
Down to the depths where you truly belong,
And where the demons will welcome you,
Wreathed in scarlet flames, their queen.
Forever damned to stay down there
And dream of the skies above,
My fallen angel weeps evermore.

A sombre, sad poem, but very well written.
