Fighting Thoughts

Thoughts linger in my mind
What they are, I can't find
Roaming deep everyday
All I ask is to stay away.

Pain showing truth
Someone needs no proof
My mind heavy
So I made a levee.

Thoughts I can't leave out
All they do is make me shout
Staying when they should go
What they are, only I know.

Why ask what they are
My heart is too far
Never close enough to share
Either way you don'tt care.

Pain throughout my soul
Pitch dark as coal
The wind blows left or right
I'm afraid of this fight.
