The Reawakening

by xxSilentlyScreamingxx   Jul 3, 2007

I wake at last from my slumber,
Lain dormant for so long,
Trapped beneath these words, these bonds.
But no more.
The time is right, and the bonds have been broken,
The words unwritten.
I rise slowly from my tomb,
Wreathed in smoke and scarlet flame,
A formidable sight,
Even to those who knew me before.
I have changed,
Increased in power, in strength,
Now no-one can stand in my way.
My eyes snap open, I raise my head,
My blood begins to boil once more
As I feel the power seep through me.
I smile, then laugh, a guttural sound,
Designed to frighten those around me.
'Yes...' I hiss. 'At last...'
Freedom once again, escape from my chains.
And now, revenge on those who imprisoned me -
My eyes flash as I remember.
I'm going to enjoy this.
I can almost smell their blood already...
