Lasting love

She walks to school with the lunch she packed
no one knows the crush she's holding back
squeezing her books as she looks down
falling to the ground she looks up
for love she has found

looking at this angel fallen from the sky
he looks around and wonders
"could i ever be her guy?"
picking up her things he asks for her hand

together they walk to school and back
this is a love at first sight that nothing lacks
school years fly with each other
always there to hold and support

Graduation comes and the problems wont quit,
Money comes to be high in demand,
But he promises her they'll get through it,
with a ring he wants to put on her hand.

There children move out to start their own life,
And there hearts grow old together,
Her daughter gets married, his son finds a wife,
They remember their promises they made forever.

holding her tightly as if it were prom
he tells her its OK, he's always wanted her to be a mom
tucked away in his heart
shes always been there from the start

Years fly by
And soon there are two
Priceless copies of her heart and his
Wondering together why they were once so shy

graduations come and go,
time starts to pass by so slow
holding each other as tight as before
they will never live alone not any more

grand kids come and grow up tall
grand daughter spends her time at the mall
coming over to talk and laugh
a life this well lived will never pass
