Not In The Beginning

Not The Beginning

Hearts scribbled across her homework
She counts the hours 'till she sees him,
Hanging on to his every thought;
She wraps herself into her disguise.

Painted lips and bright green eyes,
She patches up the scrapes and bruises;
Leaving behind her horrid memories
And dashes on some pink powder...

Her white smile cover the lies
As she runs into his heated fists,
Another round of blood and tears
Leaving behind her new disguise.

No longer is it the beginning;
As she runs a cloth over her wounds
And places on her own disguise,
All for the boy she loves.
