If My Tears Could Speak

by Mary Rose   Jul 4, 2007

If my tears could speak as they drip down my cheeks
They'd tell a tale of sorrows & of the pain I had for years

They'd speak of how my heart was smashed into pieces
And they'd tell you how this broken heart wont mend

They'd speak about the hidden scars no one really knows
Brought about by the hurtful things people do and say

My tears would speak of my thoughts of self harm
And they'd tell you of how I wish for my life to end

They'd speak about the dire memories which haunt me
They'd tell you all about my doubts, fears, & vulnerability

They'd speak of my plight within this perplexed head of mine
If my tears could only speak they'd tell you how I ached a lot

They'd talked of a girl who always put a smile on people's faces
When inside she's crying & when in reality she feels like dying

They'd tell you about her hoping for just one moment of peace
And they'd speak of how she prays for the pain & misery to cease

If my tears could speak they'd plead for another to rescue me
If only my tears could speak would you come & listen then?
