Poetry to me

I write poetry , for all to read
comes from the heart, makes me bleed
written on paper, for you to see
it's the only way to be free.

Wrote in ink like it should be
tiny little words ,so crystal clear
some poems, don't have to read
those you can almost hear.

A few are kinda funny
others will make you cry
time you get done reading
won't have to ask why.

Poetry's meant to be serious
wrote for all minds indeed
keep it simple as possible
and always easy to read.

More you understand about it
better off you really are
what we learn from it
can take us very far.

Enjoy the poem you read today
remember what it had to say
keep it in your heart a while

    This is so true. I really think that poetry sharpens the mind, and opens our eyes to worlds we would have never been able to discover or see. Ive learnt alot from reading and writing poetry, lessons that will be so valuable in my life. Great poem.
