How Do You Do It?

How Do You Do It?
By: Charisma*

What stone cold heart allows you to sleep?
Does it not prick your conscience at all?
This world is a dump, a useless heap
Guided by greed and ruled by the powerful.

The hungry still starve while money's there.
Wars are raging and taking innocent lives.
The news reports show us indepth despair
And there's no trust between husbands and wives.

Education is pushing the kids to the limit,
While the movies are going down the drain
True peace exists in no single minute.
People give up everything for fortune and fame.

The morals are declining at a rapid pace
While the crime rates go through the roof.
There is trouble, no matter the place
Use statistics and graveyards as proof.

So I have one question left to those here
Who this doesn't seem to phase in the least.
How do you do it? Live without tears?
In a world where insanity reigns free?

This was a very good awareness poem ( and don't ask why I keep categorizing your poems, lol ). It really shows the hurt and decline in morals the world has today. You did a great job girl once again. You are truly getting to the problem and not just beating around the bush. Keep it up! :)

I loved how you ended it with a question.
    It gets the readers thinking.
    Your word choices were great.

That was a very nice peace.
You point out most of the issues that are being overlooked in the world.
    I think it is great.
I can tell you have strong views on this subject, and your words really made that emotion shine thru. =]

    Great job! 5/5
