Tear Up My Life

by SuicideQueen   Jul 5, 2007

Tear my life up like a piece of paper,
And throw it all away,
That's all you ever thought of me,
So I waste away my day.

I'll disappear into nothingness,
Like the lost hands of time,
You won't miss me when I'm finally gone,
But for me you'll have a shrine.

Throw my tears down the drain,
Just as the rain will do,
You were never worth an ounce of me,
But my love for you was true.

Still you ripped my loving heart out,
And held it till it broke,
Shattering into a million pieces,
But to you it was a joke.

You laugh at me endlessly,
Like the Jester in a deck,
Don't pity me or feel for me,
It was you that was the wreck.

The choice of words were simple but portrayed deep meaning. I liked the way the poem rhymed and the lines were tight enough which made it flow freely. Good job.

Wow...i havent read any poems that i could relate to as well as i could to yours. i loved a guy sooo much and he knew it. well at the 8th grade dance i saw him dancing with someone and i looked him straight in the eyes. he looked back at me but it was as if he was looking right through me. it tore me up inside and ever since ive been useing poetry to ease my throbbing heart. i loved this poem.
