Summer love gone.

by Spidergirl Jess   Jul 5, 2007

Church camp was only a week away,
And she was counting down everyday.
Four days, three days, two days to go,
Until finally it was time to leave her home.
One week of fun was all she wished for,
But when she got there, she got lots more.
She met a boy that first day,
And he swept her heart away.
She really liked him, could have been love,
He seemed like something that came from above.
All week long they hung out together,
She wished they could have hung out forever.
That week went by so fast for her,
She wanted there to be more that summer.
More than just saying "Yeah, I liked him,"
But maybe for her to say "Yeah, I love him."

Her friend tried to find out if he liked her too,
But he didn't tell her until the week was through.
And her friend didn't tell her until half a week later,
That he said he liked her, even wanted to date her.
She felt so helpless when she figured that out,
That all she wanted to do was scream and shout.
She wished she could talk to him again and again,
So maybe one day he would be her boyfriend.
Maybe that'll happen, she doesn't know yet,
She just wants to know this decision she won't regret.

Such a long poem, simple yeah! but i like it that way it keeps your own identity.. but i suggest to put a little more imagination to make it more interesting. =)
