The Death Call

by pretending im over you   Jul 5, 2007

As she walks alone along the path she dreams of the road ahead.
she cant make her own decisions she goes where she is led.
people walk all over her and do as they please,
she never stands up for herself when she gets called a tease.
this girl is helpless and lifeless as well,
there is a happy, bright girl somewhere in there everyone can tell.
but if she chooses to be that girl is only up to her,
she needs help in her life, but if she wants it she is unsure.
she dreams of better days filled with sunshine and all,
every time she tries to rise up all she does is fall.
there is no help for her, that is what they say,
all she really wants to do is go far far away.
she wants to be left alone and think what she wants,
but every time she goes to sleep she sees the face that taunts.
she wishes she could forget him, and start a brand new life.
but every time she hears his name in her wrist goes the knife.
she wishes she could stop and find another way,
soon if no one helps her in the ground she will lay.
but maybe she will be happier there away from all the pain.
all the faces and the memories are driving her insane!
so maybe just this once she will cut deeper down,
now her face bares nothing, not even her normal frown.
yes she is much happier here away from everyone,
when her boyfriend hears the news to his head he puts a gun.
for he tried to help his all in all,
but now they both are singing the death call.
