TROPHY GURL

I FEEL AS THOUGH I'M AS WORTHY AS A TROPHY

A TROPHY GIRL IS ALL I CAN BE

IS A TROPHY GIRL WHAT I AM?

I FEEL AS THOUGH I'M GREAT TO SHOW OFF

I'M SOMEONE AND SOMEWHAT NEW

BUT AFTER A WHILE MY PRESENCE GETS OLD

AFTER I'VE BEEN SHOWN OFF TO YOUR FRIENDS

AND I'VE BEEN IN THE SPOT LITE

MY RIGHTFUL PLACE IS WITH THE OTHERS

ON THE BACK SHELF, AND THEN IT HITS ME

ALL I AM IS A TROPHY

I CAN ONLY BE SHOW OFF AND PRIORITIZED AS AN OBJECT

YOU DON'T SEE ME FOR ME

YOU SEE MY BODY AND HOW MUCH PROPS YOU'LL GET WITH YOUR BOY

I CANT LIE I LOVE THE ATTENTION

BUT 4 ALL THIS ATTENTION THERE IS A PRICE TO PAY

AM I WILLING TO LOSE MY RESPECT AND MY DIGNITY

WHAT ABOUT MY PRIDE

BEING A TROPHY GIRL IS GOOD FOR SOME

BUT A TROPHY GIRL I'M NOT

I WANT TO BE THE ONE

THE ONE YOU'RE HAPPY TO BE WITH, AND THE ONE YOU'RE HAPPY TO SEE

AND BEING A TROPHY GIRL IS JUST NOT WORKIN FOR ME
