Striving everyday,
Struggling to be free,
Sometimes I don't know,
Sometimes I can't see.

Tasting once, sweet liberty,
Tempted by her smile,
Torn apart by what I found,
Timid for a while.

Awakened now by dear time,
Aching to explore,
All I had to leave behind,
All I did adore.

Ripped away but not forgotten,
