Something Strange

Today was a horrible day, everything was going great, then my mom made a decision. He was going to leave me and my family for a while and go to someone else’s house, but my mom asked, and begged him to stay, he almost left then because he was having problems with drinking and not coming home till 2 in the morning drunk as can be. So she told him to leave again, cause no one in my family could take it anymore we had, had enough of him coming home, late and not knowing where he was or where he had been. So he left just like that right after work. No phone call, no note, no email, no nothing, and that was what disappointed me. My mom told us he would be gone for a while, which meant about 5 months. Ever since I have tried to be strong, and just started to write this poem for everyone to hear about |

I think it is like a diary entry... But I also think that's fine. Poetry is more than the way it's placed.. I think it should be more about the wording and feeling behind it, and you did have a lot of feeling.
It's great.
