One boy takes on the pain of the world,
Helping to make the world a better place,
As he fights the pain he goes through,
And battles a war of his own,
Yet he still has time to help a friend,
To help someone in need,
No matter whom it is,
Stranger or enemy,
Always there, always here
His emotional pain hurting like,
Nothing you have ever felt before,
The pain of a thousand knives stabbing into his heart,
When someone he loves hurts him so,
The pain of being different,
And not being accepted from ones who matter most,
The pain of knowing that he is not trusted,
And being unable to prove his trust,
The pain of fire burning his heart inside out,
Knowing he cannot have the one he loves,
And that he might have to forget them eternally,
The pain of dreadful throbbing and aching from within,
And not being able to lessen the pain so it could heal,
The pain of the fact that he cannot control his strength and force,
And when all he wants is to make it stop
All he wants in return for helping more than he has too,
To make everyone happy so he can be too,
Instead of a slow death of sadness,
Is not selfish or greedy,
One simple wish is all he requests,
Every birthday year,
All he needs to be free,
To be happy for himself,
And to have the pain released,
A an effortless "thank you"
And a tender hug,
Is that too much to request?
From one who never asks
As the days past,
One after the other,
As people continue to ignore,
The value of time,
His one little wish,
Ebbing his life absent,
He slowly fades away,
Until one day,
There will be nothing left
And he would no longer exist,
For the only other way out,
Of all his suffering,
Is to forget,
And make a new beginning,
But with one end result,
He loses himself,
The amazing person and the great friend,
That he is inside,
A deep and gentle soul,
Who cares and loves,
Just like you and me,
With the exception that,
He would give up his life,
For anybody who deserves it,
Sacrificing himself to save lives
Everyone has their secrets,
But do you know his?
Even I do not know,
As I tell you his tale,
The one thing i know,
You can find nobody else like him,
An awful loss if you lose him,
And more so to have never met him,
For once you open a connection with him,
And you are true enough to stand by it,
He will forever be at your side,
So lean on him,
And help me carry out his one and only wish,
Spread his love if you have a heart,
And remember his name,
Jeremy,
"Thank you for being my friend,"
Say it to his heart,
Say it in person,
And mean it with everything you've got,
Before it's too late,
Because we love him so.
