Rain of Souls

by BeautifulGwen   Jul 6, 2007

The rain pounds
against the windows
light patters
of fingertips

Running down the panes
are tears and souls
of lives lived
in the past

Their silent voices
streak your mind
and fill your heart

But there's nothing
you can do about
the fears of lives
in the present

They just want in...
to penetrate your soul
