Strange question

It would be strange for me to ask
If the love you have is for me to hold
If your heart that is so big is for me to possess

I dare not to ask such a question
That concerns your love
That requires your heart

I dare not ask, for I fear such a question
Of rejection from my love
Of shame to my heart

It would be strange indeed for you to consider
Me as worthy of your love
Me to hold the value of your heart

So I refrain from such inquiries
So that your love will come in time
So that if I may hold your heart, is but a question.
