Make Up Your Mind

by Andrew Morton   Jul 6, 2007

I could tell right away
feeling the fear and doing it anyway
how could you just say goodbye
and let a good thing die
but still we rolled under the covers
playing the roles of lovers
until i decided to put on my shirt
and leave you to lay in the dirt

[chorus]
so i told you then and there i'd wait
but i'd still be waiting for that day
i decided to get over you
for lack of anything better to do
the best thing for me to do was so hard
i hate admiting that it tore me apart
i had to give up and leave you behind
until you make up your mind

i decided to leave well enough alone
finally feeling my back bone
that's as it should be
but you come around saying you need me

you ask whats happened to the marriage plans
well they're sitting in the garbage can
ive thrown away everything you were
so know that you'll never be her

[chorus]
so i told you then and there i'd wait
but i'd still be waiting for that day
i decided to get over you
for lack of anything better to do
the best thing for me to do was so hard
i hate admiting that it tore me apart
i had to give up and leave you behind
until you make up your mind

goodbye, so long
im not holding on
move on, dont last
its dying in the past
you know, i know
that i have to go
goodbye, so long
i've moved on-->

[chorus]
so i told you then and there i'd wait
but i'd still be waiting for that day
i decided to get over you
for lack of anything better to do
so it ripped me apart inside
but i figured it was about time
i've given you up and left you behind
because i've made up my mind
