Hard Not Turning Around

by Andrew Morton   Jul 6, 2007

Whos to blame for the mistakes i've made
these thoughts that linger around my mind
i cant rid myself of the memories
of everything i left behind

i cant sleep, i can't eat
the two ends never seem to meet
i cant see, no, i cant breathe
my worlds been taken from underneath

[chorus]
even though im slowly moving on
i can never outrun my past
something i cant blind myself from
always there behind my back
from the corner of my eyesight
my ears realize that sound
i see all that i used to be
its hard not turning around

i know you will take my last breath away
when its all that i have left right now
im sure you're awful proud of yourself
so go on and take your bow

when its me that cant eat
and its me that cant sleep
when i cant breathe
you took my world from underneath

[chorus]
even though im slowly moving on
i can never outrun my past
something i cant blind myself from
always there behind my back
from the corner of my eyesight
my ears realize that sound
i see all that i used to be
its hard not turning around

all im asking of you
all im asking you to do
let me find everything i've lost
it's better than what i've got

[chorus]
even though im slowly moving on
i can never outrun my past
something i cant blind myself from
always there behind my back
from the corner of my eyesight
my ears realize that sound
i see all that i used to be
its hard not turning around
