Prove Me Wrong

by Andrew Morton   Jul 6, 2007

You grabbed my hand
and i let go
you asked me out friday
and i said no

i wiped off your tears
like an obligation
i was that release
for your frustrations

i walked you home last night
through the dark streets
it was only a couple blocks
but its what you need

just please dont need me
i cant hear that right now
dont say that you're falling
when i just cant see how

why do you do it to me
you know that i hate love
something you seem to do
seems to make me want some

im not gunna promise forever
or a life of eternal bliss
i really dont deserve you
cause you dont deserve this

would it be rude to ask
for a little more time
perhaps down the road
i may decide to call you mine

will you be around then
i know it wont be long
god i hope you make it right
cause im sick of being wrong

prove me wrong
show me what i really need
prove me wrong
show me what i have to see
prove me wrong
