My Two Cents

by Andrew Morton   Jul 6, 2007

Im not losing anymore my dear,
cant you see how i have won
im gone, yeah im done
yeah, this ive come to love

i always said id never look down to you
but its hard because im above you
i cant really blame you for trying
lets face it babe, im amazing

[chorus]
how do the words that i never said
sound like from the speakers of your minivan
kids screaming in the back cause the dads run off
you give it your all and its never enough
im watching you from on top of the world
its as good as its ever gunna get
id give you a quarter to call me
but you're listening to my two cents

ive made the most of the worst thing
that has ever happened to me
and ill thank the good lord up above
that i can finally see

id ask you to feed me another lie
but im not hungry anymore
im not starving for you
i dont love you anymore

[chorus]
how do the words that i never said
sound like from the speakers of your minivan
kids screaming in the back cause the dads run off
you give it your all and its never enough
im watching you from on top of the world
its as good as its ever gunna get
id give you a quarter to call me
but you're listening to my two cents

turn up the volume just a little louder
can you hear me calling, cursing your name
telling the tale of the nightware i lived
and jut where im at today

i dont need you, i dont love you
and im loving every minute of it
i dont need you, i dont love you
and im loving every minute of it

[chorus]
how do the words that i never said
sound like from the speakers of your minivan
kids screaming in the back cause the dads run off
you give it your all and its never enough
im watching you from on top of the world
its as good as its ever gunna get
id give you a quarter to call me
but you're listening to my two cents

i always said id never look down to you
but its hard because im above you
i cant really blame you for trying
lets face it babe, im amazing

yeah~~amazing....

I love this part of your poem/song

"id ask you to feed me another lie
    but im not hungry anymore
    i'm not starving for you
    i dont love you anymore"

It shows that you are moving on and learned a lesson. I hate reading poems or books where the characters know the person is bad for them and anyone close and instead of changing they settle for what they know isn't right. They don't learn and complain when bad things happen to them! Glad to know u aren't the same. lol
