Inertia

I said I'd be here with you;
I said I'd hold your hand;
I said forever and always,
you would be my man.

"We can conquer the world--
just you and I."
I said it with such passion,
because I was blinded to my lie.

We locked our fingers,
and all felt right:
repeating the same dovey nothings
we would always recite.

We were our onlies
and, for me, there was no other,
but tonight I'm going to tell you:
I'm free-falling for your brother.

    I loved this poem :) especially the little twist that it had at the end. The title is very creative as well which is always good. glad to see your still writing and still on here!
