He'll Stay

by Lexie   Jul 7, 2007

Staring out the window sill,
Waiting for time to pass.
I sat on the rocking chair,
Looking through glass.

Someone had just told me,
"Had you not heard?"
But unto my surprise,
I hadn't even learned.

I hated what had happened,
I hated what they told me.
I wish he could come back to me,
I wish he could have saved me.

From all the things that I now know,
And for all the things I have done.
No matter what, in my list,
He'll still be number one.

I had only known him for a little while,
Until he passed away.
I hope that he's happy now,
And in Heaven he will stay.
