I gave you everything I had,
I gave you everything and more.
I gave you my heart and soul,
And still you wanted more.

I'm sorry I couldn't be her,
That girl you always wanted.
Although I'm not sorry,
For now your dreams are haunted.

I'm not sorry for the things I did,
Or the things I said.
And believe me,
I don't wish we should start over again.

I found someone new this time,
Someone who came into my life.
Someone who showed me,
That this time, he's right.

I'd hate to say it,
Believe me I do,
I hate to say it,
But I told you so.

    I really like this poem but i was a bit stuck on the last stanza. i feel as if the last line should rhyme with the second line as the first and third line do. something like

    I'd hate to say it,
    Believe me I do,
    I hate to say it,
    But i did tell you

    i dunno i just feel that it is almost there but not quite. but good work
