Mrs. O

by LyricallyBroken   Jul 7, 2007

Mrs. O 's outlook on the world
Was always bright and sunny
We all laughed hysterically at her jokes
Even when they were not so funny
Her smile picked us up
Whenever we entered her room
She made all of us happier
Even when life was full of gloom
Mrs. Overton believed we were
The future of tomorrow.
She always was a happy soul
She did not believe in sorrow
She supported every one of us
And helped us on the way
She helped 3 special students
On National History Day.
She always helped us understand
And cared more than any other
To all of us she meant a lot
There never will be another
She was a unique individual
Nobody will teach like she did
Nobody on this planet
Can replace just what she did
She wanted us all to get along
To care for everyone else
She did all that she could for us
And did not care so much about herself
Now she has left us
And we are trying to get through
We all cry tears so openly
Theres nothing we can do
We all wish we can change things
And she would come back and live again
But we all know within our hearts
That the impossible wil not happen.
But she would want us to learn form this
That every day is a gift
And if you smile at someone blue
Their spirits you will lift
And not to let go of memories
And death is not the end
That happiness is something you create
Is the message she would send
If only she knew how much we have cried
How much we missed her so
But now that she is gone
I guess she will never know
Nobody will ever forget
Mrs. Overton and her ways
But now that she is away from here
We will have some sad days
We just have to remember
How she would want us all to be
The day Mrs. Overton left us
She took a piece of you and me
