Love's End

There was a time I saw Love's end
As though it had some far away reality.
But now it's faded from my sight
Because it's become what I no longer see.

Is it true love that drives us on
To an end that doesn't lie on any charts?
I think it is the ground that we must seek
If we are to clarify where our perception starts.

Love's end is not what we should see
But rather, the journey if we are going to stay
For the end of love will disappear
If we find its truth along the way.

This is the end I long to see
