Its Over

by Vanessa   Jul 7, 2007

The once bright moon dims in my sky
I find myself praying, wanting to die
Tears of anger and tears of hate
Lost in the passion, sealed in by fate
I see my reflection, so cold and so still
All an illusion, there is nothing that's real
Blood drips on the carpet, staining it red
Jumbled are the thoughts, inside my head
Mangled emotions, deep, raw and strong
I'm tired of looking for that place to belong
Echoing screams fill this hot humid night
I am weak, and too tired am I to fight
I hear you screaming loud and clear
I just need to get out, get out of here
Depression lingers in my heart and soul
I am one of the ones that can't let go
Every time I look back into the past
Where faces and images never last
I feel myself grow weary, I begin to stray
Who are you to tell me it will be OK
This life style is more than I can take
I can't forgive myself for this mistake
Trapped with secrets I can never tell
My spirit doomed to a fiery hell
Tear streaked face, and shaking hands
No one will ever be able to understand
All the misery and all the pain that I hold
I am left standing alone out in the cold
Please God I beg of you to let me die
I am sick of always being the one to cry
I don't care anymore, I am giving in
Gracefully losing a battle I could never win
