You've touched my life

You've touched my life in a special and unique way,
in the thoughtful words you choose to say.
You've touched my life in how i feel,
bringing out emotions nothing short of real.
You've touched my life by driving me to be a better person,
Instead of allowing those with negativity cause a diversion.
Although in my life for such a short while,
your effect on me i am no longer in denial.
I ask, why this person? why now?
Both understanding that it's something we should not allow.
I have no expectations of you and only appreciate the person you are,
your company i have truly enjoyed by far.
You've helped me open up emotions long asleep,
By our spiritual conversations which were deep.
Where we go from here does not effect the person i am today,
