The Innocence Of My Friend; My Diary

by Kirsty palmer   Jul 7, 2007

Every face has a mask
Everyday is like an acting task
So you think you know the real me?
But it's not everything you see
So come and take a closer look
...be my diary... be my book

An innocent smile formed on your face
You're like an angel in this darkened place
Your eyes so glossy they sparkle even in the dark
Heavens open at your every remark
Sitting there silently I gaze at you
Worried about saying my adieu
When you're here even the air seems so pure
You make me feel so innocent, so secure
A touch from you would be like waving fairy dust
And I for you have total trust
You make it so easy to confide in
My head without you would just spin
Page after page I write down how I feel
Trusting that you will never reveal
You're like my guiding angel without a voice
So when picking someone to talk to- you're my choice
Diary you are truly my star
We shall never be lead afar
Together we will travel, together we will remain
Because my every thought, you contain;
My happiness, my sadness, my anger my fright
Writing in you somehow makes it feel alright
You are the book who listens the most
Your pages keep me standing- my leaning post
Everyone should have a book like you
Someone who cares- someone to talk to!

This was lovely and, in fact, I find it quite delightful and endearing to read. Keeping a journal is indeed wise choice to make. I got one as well, and every entry was filled with such nostalgic moments that I could reflect upon from the past. =) It further gave me a better glimpse of my own self.

Anyway, your work gave me a smile. And I thank you for it. All the best and take care!
