The Way the World Works

This is the
way the world works.
Never fair,
never right.

The way the world works
is like a
blooming flower.
It grows and grows
with beautiful grace.
And then it starts
to disappear.

Death keeps happening,
starvation will always be unavoidable
and abuse and everything
else will always prevail.

But a seed will be planted,
and the seed will grow,
and hopefully we'll have
mercy again.
