Generations Miscommunications

Why do they not listen
Is it hard to understand
We only want what is best for them
We tell them time and time again

Teenagers have it easy
Homework and chores at the most
Then off with their friends
Leaving behind all common sense

Why do parents think it is easy
Do they not hear our cry
Growing up now days
Is a miracle to avoid all crimes

Parents have it so easy
They go to work and watch tv
Then everything else becomes our chore
Forgetting the reason why we were born

Why is it so hard
Why must we always fight
Never finding common ground
While trying to find answers in life
