Happy Birthday Mom

by issues   Jul 7, 2007

Today we would have celebrated your 68th birthday,
If only i could spend one last moment with you i pray.
A day to show how much you meant to me,
How clearly you made me see.
It's sad that if feels like it's too late to share,
only proving that sometimes life is just not fair.
I'm sorry for so many words i wish i could take back,
Communication with you at times i did lack.
I appreciated all you have sacrificed for me,
You were the only one who never judged what you see.
You were not only my mom, but my best friend,
I never hesitated to take a moment with you to spend.
I miss those special nights for hours we would talk,
Along the beach enjoying the scenery while we walk.
You will always be apart of me which i will show everyday,
I will share your same traditions, words and recipes created your special way.
I miss you mom and wish i could bring you back to me,
Just so i can truly cherish you and let you see.
