Romeo & Juliet

by zoe stephens   Jul 7, 2007

Two cars kissed
on a lonely road.
Cold steel
attracted to each other
like magnets
turned warm
in the flames of passion
sparked by their meeting.
Someone saw them
and began to shout.
They knew they were in trouble
but they didn’t care.
That kiss, that touch,
that very first moment,
devastated all around them
and, in turn,
destroyed the two remaining shells
of one soul.
