Thanks For The Memories

by aDORKable x3   Jul 8, 2007

The memories spin round in my head,
As I remember everything you had said.
But then I realized -
When the light hit my eyes,
That the memories of you were dead.

The memories, they died in a second;
As the thought of joy did beckon.
They were cleared from my mind,
What relief I did find!
To realize I was a force to reckon.

The memories were too bitter-sweet
And to think I was once incomplete!
My heart was soon shattered,
But not like it mattered-
You just were not very discrete.

I guess that I finally can see,
I need to be loved for me.
To accept who I am,
And not change for a man.
Thanks For The Memories.

    That the memories of you were dead.

    The memories, they died in a second;
    [[I hate when people use the same word twice in a stanza...]]

    Hm. This isn't your best, but I did like it. The point was good and I loved the style you tried. It's unique.
    Now, I really liked the ending, but the middle lagged. Keep the middle up; that's important too! =]
