Slippery Timing

by oddi tea   Jul 8, 2007

I sit in slippery timing
Like a dreadful sinking sand
I wait for life's heart aches
To pull me down by the hand

As i wait for you
Hoping maybe you'll rescue me
Don't leave me to die
In this transparent sea

You may look and see nothing
A girl standing there
But what you see is deceptive
Look past her happy stare

The eyes are clouded
The arms embraced
The mind is crowded
The joy erased

What can save
This mystical child
Who can pull her out
To be happy and wild

What happened to her
-me
Us.~you
Why do we sink into times lies
Why do we fall
Or worse...
Sink
deeper
and deeper
blues turning to blacks
and pinks turning to grays

Why do we get sucked into
This apathy
No reason to keep going...
Why...who...can stop this?
+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+
So as i look into the mirror
One last final time
I see a young girl
Confusion clouding her eyes

With tears of sadness
Dripping down her face
Is there one who hasn't left us
Because all my friends have left the race...
