The Boy

by Your So Last Summer   Jul 8, 2007

The Boy

He is beautiful.
Yet,
So harsh and, and
Amazing.
He can sculpt any warped day
Into the most
Wonderful day ever created.
I know
That in my heart
I am supposed to avoid his
Deep, captive concrete eyes
But, I just
Lose balance, lose every
Single breathe
Within me,
Words built up
Fall down
Hope, in the distance
Arrives
I don’t know what it is that pulls
My every move in
The direction of
Impressing you. You. I can’t say
It without a leap of the heart
A smile.
A hopeful needy chance that
One day your shield
At the eyes will be
Removed.
Your hand will,
Eternally be laced in mine.
I will be the first
Thing on
Your mind when your beautiful
Eyes open, and before they close.
Your eyes, no less,
No more than your ruffled brown
Hair, and the
Genial feeling instilled
Within me when
The corners of your
Mouth curl up.
Help.
Help me understand why
Since you have entered the threshold
Of my life, every conscience moment is revolved
Around you,
Tell me what it is
That hurts when I am without
You
Tell me what this is that
Puts me on the edge,
Until I cry in fear of one day
Losing it
Or having it, and unsure
Of how to keep it,
What is it that urges me to,
Get up in the morning
What makes me have this feeling that I have never
In my life expected, or just maybe to
Scared to have.
You.
Just You.
I LOVE YOU DYLAN TYLER GILBERT
