Candles

Candles bring hope,
they bring peace.

They represent light
and gentleness

They bring happiness
to children
and joy to the elderly.

But what would happen if the light
went out?

Would we fall and not get up?
Or would we find some other way to go on?

I just wish that everyone could understand
how beautiful they can be,
and not take them for granted.

For if we do,
I dread that we will be without them.
