Maybe One Day

by Alissa   Jul 8, 2007

I close my eyes tight,
seeing him in my mind.
Like those days we would,
just stare at each other's smile.
We would never touch,
but we would see.
We would talk for hours,
about anything in the world.
Two completely different people,
in two completely different worlds.
I was in the city,
he was in the country.
We lived thousand of miles apart,
but nothing could stop us.
Then it was over,
like a shooting star.
So beautiful,
something you will never forget.
A miracle that happens,
in a blink of an eye.
But as easily as it comes,
it easily slips away.
That was our love,
I will never forget him.
He's that shooting star,
that I look for every night.
Maybe when I'm good enough,
maybe when I'm older.
Or maybe never at all,
he will come back to me.

Beautiful poem... Nicely written. Your choice of words is good and eyecatching..
And the flow was great too..
